Rijpwetering, opeens was ik er toen ik de snelwegen en Schiphol achter me liet. Het dorp van….. Opeens schiet het me te binnen: Joop Zoetemelk! Er staat een standbeeld waar hij juichend over de finish gaat, ofschoon hij als ‘eeuwige tweede’ bekend stond. Hij moet vaak langs die prachtige molens zijn gekomen, die ik nooit eerder zag. Type grondzeiler, weet ik sinds gisteren. Past mooi bij Joop.

An ace photo! Although the jury is still out on the car in the middle of the shot. I can PS it away in a jiffy, but that would be fiddling with the evidence at hand, wouldn’t it…
The lens distortion in the shot is in some way helps to convey the image. Don’t know what triggers this effect. In most circumstance lens distortion is but a nuisance. But this time it works. I have to explore this for myself. What kind of lens did you use (the kid lens?)
